As the first artists tapped to appear on One Nation, Boot Camp Clik recorded with Pac and the Outlawz during what became a week-long recording session. 2Pac, along with the Outlawz, invited Brooklyn rap crew the Boot Camp Clik out to the West Coast to partake in the creation of the album. The recording process for that album, titled One Nation, began at Can-Am Studios in Calabasas, California in spring 1996.
